County Commendation

On June 24, 2009, at the meeting of the County Board of Supervisors awarded us a plaque honoring our neighborhood for our recent road cleanup. Clarence accepted the plaque and expressed our support of the County and gratitude for their help with disposing of the trash.

The plaque will be at Clarences's house. Here is what the fine print that you cannot read says:

WHEREAS, the Association secured two fourteen-foot dump trailers and other equipment and supplies at its own expense; and

WHEREAS, on June 6-7, 2009, the Association responded to the illegal dumping of refuse on and along Bohlman Road by initiating is own volunteer clean-up event; and

WHEREAS, working all weekend and entirely with volunteers, the Association cleaned up all two and one half miles of Bohlman Road in the unincorporated Santa Clara County; and

WHEREAS, the Association filled up two fourteen-foot dump trailers with trash and debris that had been illegally dumped on and along Bohlman Road; and

WHEREAS, the Association worked with the County Roads and Airports Department to facilitate the disposal of this trash and debris.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara, State of California does hereby honor and commend the Bohlman Road Neighborhood Association for its work to maintain a safe, clean, environmentally sound community.
